There have been some pretty big changes in the L-plate household since my last post and I have really got my hands full.
The biggest change, my decision to become a freelance writer and work from home. The main reason for this huge, and quite frankly quite scary career move, is the fact that I want to spend more time with my munchkins.
So, I am now a stay-at-home mummy on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and a freelance writer on Mondays and Fridays.
I am just finishing week two of my new life and it’s been great fun. The kids are exhausting, but I really feel that they are loving having mummy at home more, and I’m loving being with them. For a long time hubs has been the main parenting force in this house, hopefully now I can even it out a little – maybe even up the wife stakes and have his dinner ready for him when he gets home (it could happen).
As for my writing? Well, I have always loved to write, so that’s what I am going to do. I have quite a few exciting ideas tucked away in my head. Fingers crossed I can do something with them. I have missed writing, a lot. If I can just keeping writing on a regular basis then I will be happy, whether that be on this blog or elsewhere – if I manage to get something published that’s a bonus!
All in all, I am very lucky to have been given this opportunity and I plan to grab it with both hands. So here we go!
Oh, and meet the newest member of our family, Luna the Norwegian Buhund.
See, I told you I had my hands full!
